Chris Coffey has announced that this year's Laurel & HarDay will be the last.
Apparantly, this decision was made last May.

NEWS JUST IN...
Re: My recent post....
The Laurel & HarDay may not be over. At yesterday's convention, numerous people heard about the event coming to an end, but weren't happy about that decision.
Regular attenders of the 'Annual Event', hope that the day continues. It's a very popular event within the Laurel & Hardy calendar and it would be a shame for it to end now.
It has been proposed that the new tent 'Dirty Work' take over the days proceedings, in order for it to continue.

I was amazed at the number of people who insisted we carry on with it , we cant let it die , it seems to have taken on a life of its own
