And let's not overlook the fact, that it's the 100th anniversary of Stan's first trip to the USA (Sept, 22nd 1910), so maybe something of that flavour can be built into the mayhem this year. ;D

The colourful "poster" for the "18th" is up on the Laurel and Hardy Forum, now folks, so hopefully, more fans will know about it.

One week to go to the big day, so all local members, don't forget to mention it to your family, friends and anyone who'll listen during the week. There should also be a prominent article in the local paper during the week, and Wish FM Radio will be "reminded", so fingers crossed for bumper attendance on the day. (And the rest of the car, as well . ;D

Well, it's over for another year and what an 18th Birthday it was..... Another fantastic "Perfect Day" Laurel and Harday. thanks to all concerned, Dot on the door, Julia, Jessop, Jiggsy and Neil doing their bit but there has to be a special thanks to our Grand Shriek Angus MacLaurel and our master of ceremonies "Ian" who made sure the show went smoothly and to time, and we welcome a new (honorary) member, the Mayor of Wigan. Top that !!!! It just gets better every year.

Sounds as though you guys did the Boys and the Sons proud. This has become a major international fixture in the global Sons of the Desert calendar. Glad it went so well this year. Well done and congratulations.

Well done and congratulations. A big thank you for sorting out the publicity Judge. It proved to be successful. We got off to a quiet start again, but the club got packed soon enough. Although we swapped a couple of items around, everything was timed to perfection. Something that doesn't usually happen! Thanks to all the Dirty Workers for helping the day run smoothly. Photos can be found on our main website... CLICK HERE(more being added soon)

so far 1 page in the Wigan Evening post (See my Facebook photos) Sorry Jiggs I don't go on Facebook so can't see your photos. And the link on Bowler Dessert to the Laurel & Harday review item has stopped working. And my Niners lost the first game of the season last night. I'm very sad today!!!!!!!
