Stan & Ollie have escaped from prison. They make their getaway in an arranged car to pick them up. They change from their prison uniforms into civilian clothes, but a mix up occurs, and they end up with the wrong pairs of trousers on. After numerous attempts to change them, they are followed by a suspicious policeman. They end up on a construction site and on top of a great skyscraper still under construction. This leads to breath-taking cliffhanging results. Not a bad film, for a silent. It starts off quite promising, with the pants changing routine, although it does seem to go on a while. Eventually, the story moves on as they destruct James Finlayson`s 78` record collection, and eventually lead to the construction site. The second half of the film now takes place on the scaffolding. The comedy almost stops as you pause for breath every time Stan nearly falls off, in `Harold Lloyd` style cliffhanging comedy. I like this film, but the scenes of Stan & Ollie on the scaffolding doesn`t suit them, although it is hugely entertaining. The ending comes in nice as the bloke stood under the lift is squashed and transformed into an unimpressed midget. (6/10)

Stan and Ollie in full Harold Lloyd mode. A very simple plot is milked for every gag and thrill possible. There are some very Gay overtones in this film, Ollie in particular is very camp in places.
The stunts are excellent and it's easy to believe they are in true danger. One of my favourite silents. 7/10
