Our heroes are in prison always looking for the chance to escape. One day an opportunity arises.
Would today’s stars go and shave their heads to give an authentic edge to a 20m short these days?, I doubt it.
The first official teaming has some quality gags like Stan asking a fellow prisoner how long his stretch is, then on hearing it’s forty years he gives him a letter and asks him to post it!.
This short truly shows that the chemistry between the two is something special. As with many of the best shorts it takes a simple idea and runs with it all the way to the bank. The cherry chasing section would be used to even better levels in ‘From soup to nuts’. Is Ice cream Cohen the name of the shop or a Jewish snack treat?. 7/10
