September 9th 2009 will be our tent's first birthday. To celebrate our first university, instead of our regular monthly meeting in the Honeysuckle, we will be going for a meal in the Red Lion Pub at Haigh, nr. Wigan.  Anyone who was at our July meeting will already be aware of this. So, as a reminder, we will require £5 deposit per person for the meal which will need to be paid on or before our August meeting. You can either bring cash to our August meeting or send a cheque payable to 'Sons of the Desert - Dirty Work Tent'. (if you wish to do this, I will PM you the address to send the cheque to)oh, and don't forget, you will need to bring some more money on the night to pay the balance! I will keep you informed of exact times once the deposits are in and I have reserved our table. |

It's ok Agnes, I've got a squirty fly spray bottle, so we'll be fine! ;D Anyway, may I be the first to wish our tent a very Happy 1st Birthday. Our tent became official exactly a year ago today....  We've had a really grate first year. Some absolutely brilliant themed meetings and attracted more Laurel & Hardy fans. And, again made more friends. And we've just had a successful one-day convention. Here's to our 2nd year folks. I'm sure we'll keep growing.  |

I was gonna put some pics on from tonight's meal, but I can't find the wire than connects my camera to the laptop, so you'l have to wait til tomorrow now folks.
Anyway, it was a crackin 1st birthday bash.
