What do folks think of the post-Roach movies - particularly the 40s Fox/MGM efforts? Are they truly awful, or do they have merits of their own? Which is your favourite, and which one(s) get the thumbs down? Is Nothing But Trouble really the worst of the lot, or does the honour fall to Atoll K? Are you a Bullfighter or a Jitterbugger? Your thoughts, please.

I have reviewed several of these for the old version of this site...
The one i like is The Bullfighters, the films are a mixed bag, some have good moment some are just awful, the Fox and MGM people simply didn't get what made S&O funny!

Maybe I'm Odd, but, I like "A-Haunting we will go" - "Jitterbugs" "The Dancing Masters" and "The Bullfighters" Obviously, not as much as the Roach Comedies, but Still, I do like watching these.

Dancing Masters for me, A very young Robert Mitchum at the beginning of his career appeared in this film. for that, and all the laughs which we have seen many times before. I give it 8/10

Apologies your honour, am I in the wrong box again ? Ay? Not understood. The only post-Roach film I can tolerate is Jitterbugs, though I know I'm in a minority.
