What do you think of all the documentaries about Laurel and Hardy? Do you think they are too analytical, too intellectual and too intrusive into their private lives? Do you just love watching the movies, admire their work and find all you need in the laughter? Or, do you take it all seriously, like the documentary producers? Someone must like them, because they don't stop coming at us. The ones I know of are: Cuckoo (BBC) Tribute to The Boys (Universal box-set, Disc 21) Living Famously (BBC) Memories (independent0 Hats Off (independent) Laurel and Hardy On Tour (Alpha) and inclusion in dozens of other docus, more generally about comedy, vintage movies, or comedy duos, e.g The Story of Slapstick (BBC). How think ye?

Congratulations Sal. It's a job that has its ups and downs, and you can end up looking a bit of a monkey, but you do meet some interesting people!

Me too. I've added it to my "documentaries" DVD. Love to share copies with anyone interested. If you're not interested, don't bother. If you were inerested, but lost interest, you missed out. It's not a bad documentary, either.
