I'm probably gonna sound very stupid here [nowt' new there lol] but I've recently been reading that Stan had bright red hair? This shocked me as I could never imagine him like that & I thought the redness in the colourized versions wasn't natural or something, I thought the colourizing had done it...LOL!
Not of any significance obviously, but it just shocked me as I've always imagined him with blondey/brown hair...
Plus, I rarely watch the colour versions, I don't like them so never really noticed his hair colour in them...
Really made me laugh, been a fan for nearly all my life & didn't even know his hair colour...hahahaha!

Not sure, but I think he had a lip-ring.

Agreed . Youtube wrong on "rare" item - it's a freebie "extra" on loads of current DVDs and I've got it a dozen times over on various compliations. Neither is it their "only" colour movie - Rogue Song. He didn't have a lip-ring by the way.

I'd been a fan for years before I found out about Stan having red hair. It was Bill Cubin who informed me about it.
I still find it hard to accept, even after seeing colour stills and the films in colour. But it was a fact!

I'd forgotten about Rogue Song...It MUST exist somewhere...Ok I can dream, i imagine if it does turn up it'll be a wonderful find but a dull film! The only thing rare about Tree is if you find a good print !

I have a brilliant copy of Test Tube, although the colour is always a little " off" towards the red, from the original print. There is a fairly long section where Stan takes his bowler off, and Ollie taps his head as if wood. If you stop-hold the frames, Stan's hair is hardly red, more like dark brown. Mind you, the red car and Babe's blue jacket look a bit odd, too.

I'm finding it really hard to imagine too, after soooo long of imagining him with blondey/brown hair, it's really strange imagining him as a red head...gonna take awhile lol
