The Greeks and Romans had gods, goddesses and all sorts of idols for just about everything. But I was stumped in a quiz the other night, which was particularly annoying, being a Dirty Worker. It was to name the Greek god or goddess of the fireplace! (Yes, honestly, there is one.) She is Hestia, officially the Goddess of the Hearth. If I'd known that, I could have made a clean sweep in the quiz. ;D
